Biography

Gilles Grenon was born in Chicoutimi. He currently lives in Montreal, QC. He holds a master’s degree in communication from the University of Quebec in Montreal and has completed a specialized graduate program (D.E.S.S.) in Arts, Creation and Technology at the University of Montreal. He is currently completing a specialized graduate program (D.E.S.S.) in digital music at the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal. He is mainly interested in digital and interactive arts. His experience encompasses graphics and sound development environments such as Unity, Processing, Reaper, Max MSP and Pure Data. He also has extensive practice with interactive sensors such as Leap Motion, Kinect, Arduino, various cameras and with inter-system communication. He has also developed projects that encompass robotics and artificial intelligence, and that integrate OpenCV with programming in C++ and Python. He is currently dedicated to the integration of image and sound.

Gilles Grenon gave a performance at the Ultrasons Festival on April 22, 2022 and his animated film “Yi Ching, The Book of Changes” was selected for the Dérapages event as part of the Sommets du cinéma d’animation Festival international de Montréal May 12, 2022.
